An Empty Nest and a Friend on a Quest

Some of you know me in my personal life and you know I was a military (army) wife and mother as a teenager. I'm now a Nana and have known some of my military friends since I was literally a child. I've watched these amazing men grow from boys themselves into mighty men of war and then beyond transitioning into effective pulses of positive culture in their regions and communities.

My children have grown and are out living their best adult lives and I'm left rattling around the family home. I'm in a season of fantastic change right now, my duty was heavy (six children) and now I have to navigate living for myself again. Something I haven't experienced since I was a juvenille.

So when one of my Veteran besties told me he is walking around Australia and asked me if I would join him as support for some of the way I squealed with delight and have been planning ever since.

This 2RAR Veteran is on a quest to leave a legacy and it's my honour to be invited to help him. The idea of seeing our big country without the added stress of kiddies camping is really exciting to me. So be prepared to soon be inundated with pics and blogs created under a big outback sky
